Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) from The Avengers and all their other superhero films has become a fan favorite. Despite being a new addition to the Marvel Universe (he never appeared in the comic), he’s taken over the hearts of comic book and film fans all over the world. He has an interesting (see how I’m trying not to spoil it for you?) turn of events in The Avengers, but a big announcement from New York Comic Con has fans all a flutter, including myself!
At the Marvel TV panel, where Gregg appeared to talk about his role in the extended Marvel Universe, the audience was shown a video with Joss Whedon and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, saying the our beloved Coulson would appear in Whedon’s new TV series and Avengers spinoff Marvel’s S.H.E.I.L.D. Feige said, “There was never going to be a S.H.I.E.L.D.‘ show without Agent Phil Coulson!” while Whedon added “He’s headlining the S.H.I.E.L.D. show and always was.” Wait, so it won’t just be in flashbacks? Any other Marvel fans freaking out right now?
I know you have something to say about this. Anyone want weigh in? How about all the rumors flying around about what’s going to happen with the characters in future movies? Anyone else losing their minds here? Come on. I can hear you clapping from here!
