The holidays are upon us and speaking as a huge TV fan, I know what I’m putting on my wish list. Well, actually, I have two. The first one is my reality list. Things my friends and family might actually get for me. The second is a list for any of my friends and family that suddenly come into massive amounts of cash and feel the need to spend a bunch on me. Check out my fantasy vs. reality TV gift guide and tell me what you want from Santa this year.
Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones
In the fictional lands of Westeros and Essos, families battle for the Iron Throne. No one is safe. You win or you die. Just ask some of the actors who are now out of work.
Fantasy

Game of Thrones Iron Throne
A replica of the Iron Throne from the HBO online store. For a mere $30,000, you can sit your butt down on what is likely the least comfortable chair in the world. It may not be a barcalounger, but you’ll look pretty darn cool while you watch the show. Good luck getting your friends to call you Khaleesi though. FYI, there is a slight shipping charge of $1,800. No biggie.
Reality

Game of Thrones Needle
I’m recommending this one because I actually have it on my wall right this very minute. Fans of the show can get a replica of a few of the swords from the show. This is a bit more reasonable. Arya’s (Maisie Williams) sword Needle will run you $179 on Amazon. Stick ‘em with the pointy end.
Arrow

Arrow
In the new DC Universe-based CW show that is taking over in the ratings, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) takes down his enemies with a bow as the vigilante Arrow.
Fantasy

Compound Bow
If you want to do some fancy shooting, check out this Quest 8099-RTAP Primal Bow. This thing is no joke. Amell may not use a real one on the show (because it’s not exactly the safest thing to point at camera people), but you can own one for $1,041. Lessons not included, but we’re pretty sure the squirrels in your neighborhood are totally cool with that.
Reality

Green Arrow: Year One
Fans of the show might not realize that the series is largely based on one particular run of the Green Arrow comic. Pick them up a copy of “Green Arrow: Year One” for $10. Author Andy Diggle and artist Jock did some pretty incredible work here. (Fun fact: The character Diggle, played by David Ramsey is named after Andy. Check out my interview with Ramsey here.)
Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time
The citizens of Storybrooke used to live in the world of fairy tales. Many of them lived in castles. Yikes, what a downgrade.
Fantasy

Craigrownie Castle
Why not spend the night in a real castle? Pretend you’re Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) before the Evil Queen (Lana Parilla) forced you to live with taxes, the Internet and gas prices. You can rent any number of castles, including Craigrownie Castle in Cove, Scotland. It will only run you around $2416 a night.
Reality

Grimm’s Complete Fairy Tales
Pick up a copy of “Grimm’s Complete Fairy Tales” so you can keep all the story lines straight and wow your friends with fun facts. It’s a bit more reasonable at $16.
Doctor Who

Doctor Who
Travel with the Doctor, a Time Lord who wanders through time and space in a TARDIS with a human (although not always) companion in tow. (FYI: You can vote for your favorite Doctor of all time in our Fanhattan poll as well as enter our contest to win a Season 6 and Season 7.1 DVD or Blu-ray here.)
Fantasy

TARDIS
Did you know you can buy yourself a life-sized replica of the TARDIS? This one is modeled after the one in the 1960′s film. It will run you about $5647, taxes included. I can’t begin to imagine how much it would be to get it shipped from the UK. No word about whether or not it’s bigger on the inside.
Reality

Doctor Who Gift Set
BBC Home Entertainment has just released a Doctor Who gift set that will blow the minds of fans. (I have one and I’m actually drooling, looking at it right now.) For a more reasonable $195, you get DVD’s of Seasons 1-6 and 7.1, as well as hours and hours of bonus features including 3 new Doctor Specials that have never been on DVD before. You also get a comic book, so super cool art and the Eleventh Doctor’s (Matt Smith) sonic screwdriver.
Boardwalk Empire

Boardwalk Empire
Prohibition certainly didn’t stop Atlantic City from swilling gallons and gallons of booze in the 1920′s. In fact, it created some of the most famous gangsters in history.
Fantasy
Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi) has quite a few lovely cars. He can certainly afford it. If you’d like to roll like Nucky, grab yourself a fancy 1920 Model T Ford. There are a bunch up on eBay, but this one is a mere $6,500 at the moment. Just don’t drink your illegal hooch first.
Reality

Canadian Club Whiskey
Al Capone (Stephen Graham) imported a ton of his favorite whiskey, Canadian Club during the Prohibition. Prices range, depending on what you get, but a good bottle can be as low as $20. Cheers!
